   I got the iPhone 6s plus unlocked A1687 from T-Mobile (GSM), and paid in full from apple. I tried to put my Verizon sim card and didn’t recognize my iMEI. My Verizon agent recommended that I replace it with Verizon unlocked version since it’s both supporting CDMA and GSM. I will travel in 2 months and I want to use this phone abroad, but between now and than I want to use it inside the US on my Verizon sim. What do you recommend?

     I order a 6s plus (A1687) at a full price($749) thru apple.com and chose T-Mobile. Is it will works in Viet Nam?
     Just remove SIM from iPhone and put in SIM from Viet Nam?

   i bought in the USA a iPhone 6s model A1688 I bought it as unlocked a sim free as a Verizon.
   i replaced the Verizon sim card with my Israeli sim and the iphone is working perfect.
   do i have to expect any problems with it when i will return back to Israel?

     Eitan, I took out the T-mobile sim BEFORE powering up the unit. Brought my 6s to Israel, inserted my israeli sim and voila! everything is working good!

    Hi , I live in Turkey . I will buy ı-phone 6s-plus from NYC next week. Turkey apple give warranty support only for the certain models . It is A1586, A1524 models for phone 6. When I call apple support center in turkey, they’ve said ,they still dont have the information which models will be under warranty . Do you have any info about this?

    Im planning on buying the iphone 6splus in NY when i go visit next month. If i buy a verizon device only, would i be buying it unlocked and ready to work in Korea when i swap sim cards? Whether or not its cdma, wcdma and what not? Because i heard that korea supports wcdma 2100 mHz. I tried ordering the device from the apple store online but it said it was cdma.       The Verizon device is unlocked and can be used on both GSM and CDMA carriers.

    I am currently in Arizona and I want to buy the iPhone 6S here. I am from the Netherlands so I want to use my Dutch carrier “KPN” with the iPhone 6S. Which iPhone do I need to buy then? The iPhone 6S A1688 from TMobile? I’ve talked to 4 different Apple workers and they all tell me different story’s about the iPhone and most of them told me I can’t use it in the Netherlands. They didn’t even knew about the A1688 working in Europe. Can you please help me out? Because I do think it’s possible for me to buy one here and use it in the Netherlands.

    Hi Tuan!

    I am currently in Arizona and I really want to buy the new iPhone 6S. I am from the Netherlands, so the iPhone 6S has to work with the Dutch carrier “KPN” 4G. I’ve been to several Apple stores and have been chatting with 4 different Apple workers and they all told me a different story. Most of them told me I couldn’t use the iPhone 6S in the Netherlands. But I’ve read so many blogs and hear so many things that I know for sure I can buy one here and use it in the Netherlands. In Europe we have to use the A1688 as you say in the text. But do I have to buy the A1688 from TMobile or….?

    Hi – I am currently in Beijing for a holiday and reserved an iPhone 6S. When I went the Apple Store to get it, the model was the A1700. I was worried that it won’t work outside of China because as per Apple website, A1700 only is for China (based on my understanding). I am originally from the Philippines but I travel a lot so would like to know if this A1700 model that I will buy straight from the Apple Store will work anywhere I go when I put different countries SIMs? Would really appreciate to know what you think! Thanks!

    Is is safe to say an unlocked A1633/4 is an “enhanced” world phone because band 30 will (eventually) benefit AT&T customers in large US cities?

    Seeking clarification on the text above. What is the difference in the actual specifications between the A1688 and A1700 as it appears they are the same? And if they are the same then why do you think Apple would generate 2 different numbers?

    It is stated in the article, “3. A1700: This is the model being sold in China, it will work with all carriers here like China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. It has the same specifications as the A1688.”
