Google Analytics is well-known as the best tool to track and analyze data about the visitors to your website. It has become very popular because it is free and comes from the popular company Google. As most of us are using Google Analytics on personal blogs, small websites and enterprises, we are quite satisfied with the service. However, there are still a lot of large enterprises demanding more advanced and specific needs that don’t exist in the free Analytics. That’s the reason why Google has released the new paid version, Google Analytics Premium. Let’s figure out the premium features and price of the new service.
Analytics Premium Features
Google Analytics Premium is developed with the following pillars in mind: Powerful and easy to use, advanced analysis tool, dedicated account management, real live technical support and guarantees. Here are new features that premium users will benefit from:
- Extra processing power – gather, analyze and share more data; track billions of hits per month and get deep insights from 50 custom variables; download unsampled reports.
- Advanced analysis: The unique feature provides deeper understandings of consumer behavior on website. Attribution modeling tools allow testing different models for assigning credit to conversions.
- Service and support – experts to guide customized installation, and dedicated account management on call – all backed by 24/7 support.
- Guarantees – service level agreements for data collection, processing and reporting.
Analytics Premium Price
Google Analytics Premium is available in the US, Canada, and the UK for a fixed annual fee. If you are interested, you can purchase the service from Google or its Authorized Resellers. The price of Google Analytics Premium isn’t disclosed and it makes many webmasters curious. I contacted a few authorized resellers and here’s what I’ve got from CardinalPath.
You don’t see it wrong, the price is $175,000/year and they will invoice monthly (about $14,500/month). This is not a reasonable price for most small blogs and websites, we can’t even think about upgrading because it is much higher than our incomes. As Google said, the service will be suitable for large enterprises like Gucci, Travelocity or TransUnion, which were included in trials of the premium service. After joining, the premium features will be enabled on your existing Google Analytics account within 2 business days.
If you are worried that Google could charge us for the free Google Analytics some time in the future, you don’t have to because Google has confirmed that they will continue to offer a powerful, free product as it always has and we’ll see a lot of new features and enhancements in the upcoming time.
What do you think about the price for Google Analytics Premium? Is it too high for enterprises? And will you continue using Google Analytics if it charges us some day?
Disclosure: We might earn commission from qualifying purchases. The commission help keep the rest of my content free, so thank you!

OMG. Look for a fire sale on that service inside of 3 months. I’ve been the web manager at a Fortune 500 and a luxury goods reseller. Both of whom could cut the check on that. If I had put that down on a purchase order, I’d have been laughed out of the room. There is no value there. For that cost, I would have been expected to drop a copy of anything else on the biggest blade server I could get my hands on.
Maybe they’ll try naming the service Qwikster and breaking it off the main Analytics.
I think they forgot that the guys processing that level of site, need better info than you get from GA. GA’s always been the weakest package, but you use it because it is better than nothing.

Too heavy price. They have removed keyword data now. Wonder they are asking us to shift to premium services which is out of question for any normal/average/good blogger :(
