While everything is getting more expensive due to inflation, I was quite surprised as we still can buy a decent cordless stick vacuum for around $100. I’ve tested some cheap vacuums in the past but many of them broke after a few days and the suction was terrible. The Moosoo K17 has been around for more than a year and it is still among the best budget cordless vacuums on the market.

Features & Performance
The Moosoo K17 comes in a tiny box and it is hard to believe they can fit the whole vacuum and a bunch of accessories inside. Most of other stick vacuums’ boxes are at least twice as big as this one. The small box helps Moosoo reduce logistics costs and therefore, manage to offer the product at a lower price. All the parts have pretty much the same size as seen on other stick vacuums on the market, however, the extension tube’s length is adjustable and therefore, it could fit inside the box. Its length can be adjusted from 3.7ft – 4.65ft and this is actually a nice feature because now even my kids can use this vacuum to clean the house.
The box contents include the main vacuum body with a detachable battery, a wall mount with charger, a retractable hose, a crevice tool, a soft brush, a mini motorized head, a floor head, an extension tube, and an extra filter. I like that the dustbin and filter can easily be removed for easier cleaning.
The floor head has a very well build and it even features LED light to help you see the dust in dark areas. The stiff nylon bristles and soft bristles underneath perform really well on all surfaces, especially carpets.
The K17 is fairly lightweight as the main body weighs less than 3 lbs. Besides, I don’t need to hold the trigger during operation. Therefore, I can maneuver it easily on the floor, as well as when I use other attachments to clean my sofa or car. I don’t really like the mini motorized tool because it doesn’t stay steady when I clean my sofa. As you can see in the video above, the head moves up frequently when I drag the vacuum back.
Although the K17 is fairly compact and lightweight, its suction power is quite impressive. The standard mode offers 11kPa while the max mode offers 23kPa. Absolutely, you will need to use it in max mode when cleaning rugs, carpets, bed, or sofa. My only concern with this vacuum is that I need to clean the filter regularly to maintain a good suction power. The filter gets clogged up quickly even after one cleaning session and this significantly affects the suction. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to remove and clean this filter. The filter is washable and you will just need to replace it after every 2-3 months.
The vacuum is powered by a 2,200mAh lithium-ion battery. In my test, it could last more than 20 minutes in standard mode and about 10 minutes in max mode. This is good enough for dorm rooms, small houses or apartments.
Overall, the Moosoo K17 is a decent budget cordless stick vacuum and I can understand why people like it. You can’t beat it at the $100 price range.

I CANNOT recommend the K17!! Ours would sit in the charging cradle for a month and when we would go to use it, it would not run. It would act as if it was not charged. Also…the clip that opened and closed the waste bin broke off early on. We just got so frustrated with it not running, finally junked it!
