As we all expected, the WWDC 2011 started yesterday with Steve Jobs on stage. Although Steve didn’t announce the new iPhone generation this time, the event still attract a lot of people as he introduced the 3 new products of Apple, namely Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud.
The debut of iOS 5 is the most notable change for users of Apple’s devices. There are over 200 new features in the new iOS 5, however, Apple just introduced 10 most important ones including Notification Center, Newsstand, Twitter integrated, Safari with Reader and Reading List, Reminders, Camera, Mail, PC Free, iMessage, AirPlay Mirroring, Game Center. In addition, iOS 5 for iPad also adds Multitasking Gestures and we no longer have to activate it via Xcode.
The beta version of iOS 5 just hit the developer center, so now you can go ahead and download it. The official update of iOS 5 will be available this fall and will support most Apple’s devices like iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch, iPad 1 and 2.
