Samsung Galaxy Note must be the most prominent device in the IFA trade show with a massive 5.3 inch Super AMOLED HD screen. We have seen some of the Galaxy Note’s features in a recent post and overall this is the most powerful handset on the market. Therefore, consumers are expecting for the official release of the device and their only concern is if its price is affordable.
The good news is the tablet-phone hybrid will start shipping very soon. At the moment, you can pre-order it on Clove for the price of £600 (about US$ 960) including VAT. This is quite a mighty price but it hasn’t been confirmed yet, this is just a speculative price from Clove. Moreover, we all know that prices for electronic devices in UK are always higher than in other countries due to the high tax, so I believe the price for Galaxy Note will be much cheaper in other markets. Its price is expected to be just around $700.
The Galaxy Note is the biggest Android smartphone and it also features a digital pen, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. Powered by the 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the smartphone has a very impressive performance. The Greek site TechBlog tested the device with Quadrant Standard on a demo unit at IFA 2011 and its benchmark score is 3,624. This is the highest score ever if you know that the Samsung Galaxy S II produced the score of just 3,396.
Update: The Samsung Galaxy Note (Unlocked Quadband and will work anywhere in the world) has been officially available on Amazon now for $683.99. You can order the Galaxy Note here.

although I was disapointed with the tablet being 7″ and not 10″ ( i think if you’re going to compete with iPad you have to be 10″) I was VERY excited for the galaxy note. Now I’m a little disapointed, although even since I bought my Tmobile Vibrant (Galaxy S) Samsung has done nothing but frustrate the crap out of me.

There is a galaxy tab 10.1 that blows the ipad 2 out of the water. Where have you been and the tab 7 was never meant to compete with the ipad. I never owned a samsung phone but this is the first one to catch my eyes i hope it comes to the us

i’ve never been a tech head. smart phones were not my thing in the beginning. however, my ideas rapidly changed, and i understood how useful they were. so, i started getting informed. i figured that if i am to buy one, the least i could do is spend my money wisely. i started with a samsung galaxy mini. an excellent price/quality/needs ratio. i do not surf the web often, i do not use it to watch movies, except play youtube. the main purpose is to organize my schedule pc-like, and use it as learning and teaching instrument in classes.
for that, the samsung is the by far the best choice. the next phone is the galaxy note.
samsung works for me, but some might not find it so user friendly. sorry.

I previously had an iPhone 3G, I loved that telephone but it broke and I wasn’t ready to sign a brand new contract so I moved to Virgin Mobiles Optimus V. I liked that phone as it was my initial step into the android globe. I then purchased (and returned) a Motorola Triumph which was supposed to be a good phone but it failed. I then finally decided to step as much as the Galaxy S2 and though it is only been a few days I’m pretty pleased.
