I’ve used many essential oil diffusers over the years since I heard about some of their huge benefits. There are some diffusers using heat but most recent diffusers use ultrasonic vibrations to break up water into micro particles. In this post, we’re checking out the Asakuki essential oil diffuser.

Essential oils are widely used in aromatherapy since the scents can help improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, repel insects, and eliminate odors. My favorite oils are lavender for body and mind relaxation and lemongrass to repel mosquitos and bugs. It is pretty straightforward to use this Asakuki diffuser. Basically, I just need to fill the water, add a few drops of oil, then turn on the machine.
While most oil diffusers are made of plastic, the Asakuki diffuser looks a little bit better thanks to the wood grain on the exterior. It is not real wood but I still prefer this design; You can’t tell the difference if you don’t touch it.
There are just two buttons on the front of the device, one to set timer and one to change light color or power on/off. A huge advantage of the Asakuki is that this is my first diffuser than includes a remote control. It allows me to turn on/off, change the misting mode, change light color, or set timer without touching the diffuser. Using the remote control is much easier than pressing the 2 buttons on the device.
You should clean the device once per week because oil diffusers can be breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Fortunately, it is quite easy to separate the top and the base, and remove the cord for cleaning. Besides, if your room is not well-ventilated, you should set timer for about 1 hour for each session. The Asakuki features a large 400ml water tank which can run continuously for hours. In case the device runs out of water, it will shut off automatically to prevent overheating.
If you are still using scented candles or air fresheners in your house to reduce stress or get rid of odors, I highly recommend you made the switch to an essential oil diffuser as soon as possible. The Asakuki is an inexpensive device that might be worth considering.
