hello, I have the SM-N976V that I purchased unlocked and I’m using it on T-mobile network. I’ve been updating the standard way now have android 12 one ui 4.1
my question is this, I just checked for updates and it’s going to update the Verizon software that I have disabled the best I can without rooting.
question is the Verizon software going to make this phone less reliable on the T-mobile 5g network? Reason being is I use to get a 5g signal at my house and now I don’t. signal is still available as I have tmobile home internet and get a super fast 5g signal. using the wifi on the gateway I get 1.3ghz connection.
after recent updates I can only get 4g lte
is this an issue that can be resolved or is this sm-n976v not compatible with the updated tmobile 5g network?
if so is it a hardware issue or a software issue?
I realize this is an older blog but I think it’s an interesting issue as there are several phones most people would say are the same but have some significant differences.
any thoughts or ideas are appreciated and welcome.

Help please!
I’m a leftover from Sprint of 18 years onto T-Mobile. I want an n976 that will work on Sprint which seems to be very hard to find.
I received one which is a T-Mobile phone but it couldn’t be activated on my account.
I received another one which turned out to be a Verizon only phone that the seller claimed was unlocked. Verizon told me that the circuitry is particular to them
T-Mobile won’t be switching Sprint Customer is over fully for a few months so I need to phone that works on Sprint thanks

In reply to Jeremy Smith. Yes 976 is the 5G but you have to get one that goes with your carrier because they tend to be particular to carriers
