In reply to Everett Perry. Hi, That EMC3237 is EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) number. It is another unique number to identify an iPhone and it is different from part numbers I listed above. You can find the part number in Settings or on your box.

At 75 years in age, and having used a variety of android phones, I have just purchased my very first IPhone XR.
And today, I stumbled across its model number as A2105 EMC3237.

I have checked the list for model A2105, but failed to find one model that has the additional letters and numbers alongside it.

Does anyone have this exact model down to its last details? How genuine is this model? Can anyone employed at Apple verify this for certain?

As it’s made assembled in China (?) I searched for places where this model has been sold, but I discovered that there is nowhere that I could find any distribution centre for this particular iPhone model number ending with EMC3237.

Do I keep this IPhone – still within its cooling off period?

There are an exclusive model A2107 of iPhone Xr for China Mobile in China Mainland market and it’s SIM-free.
The iPhone Xr A2107 also have two SIM slot as the model A2108 , but there are some differences.
If you are on China Mobile and China Unicom / China Telecom , the phone will not let you to use the data connection of China Unicom / China Telecom , but if you don’t use the service of China Mobile , there are no matter.

I bought a iPhone XR red model A1984. Im not sure of the carrier but it is 64GB and has activation lock. I have tried everything even a reset and update and restore. Is there anyway to unlock it and also haven’t unlock for straight talk. I live in the US.
