The lamp comes in a simple packaging with just the lamp and a power adapter inside. I really love that it is ready to use out of the box; I just needed to unfold the lamp, plug it in, and start using immediately. Absolutely no assembly is required.
The LASTAR has the same glossy ABS plastic exterior as found on many other affordable lamps. The black color looks a little dull and I really hope they would add white color in the future. All controls of the lamp are put the base; Here you can find a touch panel to adjust brightness levels, a power button, a color temperature button, a timer and a night light button. The lamp offers 7 brightness levels and 5 color temperature modes, so you will always can find the right lighting for your needs. Specifically, the color temperature ranges from 2,700K-6,500K while the maximum brightness is 400 lumens. The lamp remembers your selected lighting mode and it will be the same the next time you turn it on.
Notably, it has the nightlight function with auto timer; This would be really helpful if you use the lamp on a nightstand. When you enable the auto timer, the night light will be turned off automatically after 1 hour. Another nice feature is the built-in USB charging port on the left side. It can deliver a 5V/1A current which is just enough for charging small devices. LASTAR offers wireless charger on some other desk lamps but not this one.
My favorite feature is actually the lamp’s versatility. It has a flexible design with a 90-degree adjustable arm and 180-degree foldable head, so I can use it for different purposes. I can use it as a reading lamp, a nightlight, or a backlight for my laptop/workstation.
Overall, the LASTAR DL022 is not a fancy LED desk lamp but it is a value product which offers good features and nice lighting.
