What are the Differences?
The Breezome JH03 and JH04 have the same working mechanism. They use powerful fans to draw in air and go through a series of filters; Each filter captures a specific type of pollutant and finally, clean air is blown out of the machine. The air purifiers use the same 4-stage filtration system including air inlet, a pre-filter to catch larger dust particles, an activated carbon filter to neutralize household odors, smoke, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and an H13 True HEPA Filter to capture up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. If you use the air purifier every day, you will just need to replace the filter every 3-5 months. Besides, the JH03 and JH04 have many similar features such as 3 fan speeds, a sleep mode, timer, and a filter replacement reminder.
In terms of design, the JH03 features a compact and tubular construction with 360-degree air intake. On the other hand, the JH04 is larger and flatter. The JH03 is suitable for rooms of up to 620 sq ft while the JH04 can clean up to 1,095 sq ft. Besides, the JH04 has a built-in air quality sensor and the ring LED light on top indicates the indoors air quality. You won’t have to worry much if the light is green but if the light turns yellow or red, the air is cloudy and you should use the air purifier more often. I’d recommend you to use the Auto mode on the JH04 as it will adjust the fan speed automatically based on the current air quality.
Another additional feature of the JH04 is the UV function. The function is supposed to kill bacterial and viral matter, however, the air flows through the air purifier is too fast and is not exposed to UV light long enough. The feature is not scientifically proved to be effective at removing bacteria from the air, so I don’t recommend you to buy the JH04 purely based on the feature.
Obviously, there are many similarities between the JH03 and JH04. The JH04 is more expensive due to some advanced features, however, many people might not want to use those features at all. Therefore, the choice between the 2 air purifier purely based on your room area. If you have a small room and just want a compact air purifier, the JH03 is the better choice and can save you some money; Its new duct design ensures that air can be purified 5 times per hour in a 219 sq-ft room.
