Ah yes, think I misunderstood about the filtering.

Yeah, they invented a new technology called the Dyson Cinetic where there is no more filter now on their most recent machine, the DC54 (which I’m sure will be implemented on their future machines). So, no more filters to wash because there is no filter (they found a way to trap all dust in)!

More details about it here: http://www.dyson.com.au/cylinders/cinetic.aspx

Dyson is awesome :)

Yep Micheal,
The Dyson DC41 still has a filter but I see they don’t use it to trap dust into the bin. I think the filter is just used to trap small dust when the airflows at the center get expelled from the bin. Therefore, Dyson recommends we just need to wash the filter every 3 month. The mechanism is quite different from other vacuum I used and I totally love it.
I’m not sure how the non-filter system will work. Are you mentioning a canister vacuum?

I do believe it still has a filter system that you need to wash every now and then, though. Only the latest model has the non-filter system (which I’m still reviewing) but hoping one day they bring the technology to the upright models
